Travatan Eye Drop
The recommended dose is one drop in affecte eye or eyes, once a day in evening or as directe by your physician. Talk to your doctor before you use this medicine, if you have current or previous history of iritis and uveitis (eye inflammation). It may cause changes in eyelashes such as increase in its length, thickness, colour and/or number. Changes in eyelids such as unusual hair growth or in tissues around the eye have also been observed. The common side effects are dizziness, drowsiness, headache, eye redness, changes in the colour of iris, eye pain and discomfort, dry eye, itchy eye, eye irritation.
HOW TRAVATAN WORKS
TRAVATAN is absorbe through cornea, where it is hydrolyze to free travoprost acid. After one to two hours of application, highest concentrations of the acid in the eye are reached. There it exerts it’s ocular hypotensive effect by increasing the drainage of fluid from inside your eye and which helps in lowering the pressure inside your eye.
